# Mentioning colleagues in comments

With @-mentions, you can address colleagues directly in comments — on customers, journal entries, sales orders, and clarification cases. Mentioned users instantly receive a notification with a direct link to the comment.

### How it works

**Mentioning a colleague**

Type @ in any comment field and start entering a colleague's name or email address. Select the desired person from the dropdown list.

The name appears as a blue token in the text field, clearly marking it as a mention.

Click **Save** — the mentioned person will then be notified.

**Editing mentions**

You can add or remove mentions in existing comments at any time. Newly added users receive a notification; users who were already mentioned are not notified again.

### Notifications for mentions

**In-app**

Mentioned users automatically receive an in-app notification with a direct link to the comment.

**Email (optional)**

Email notifications for mentions are disabled by default. To enable them, go to your **User Settings** and turn on the **"@-Mention Email Notifications"** toggle.

### Frequently asked questions

**Who appears in the @-mention list?**  
Only users who have read access to the specific object (customer, JE, sales order, or clarification). Users without access are not shown.

**I'm not receiving email notifications for mentions — why?**  
Email notifications for @-mentions are optional and need to be enabled in your user settings. In-app notifications are always delivered automatically.

**Can I mention entire teams or groups?**  
No — only individual users can be mentioned.
